I had the same problem!
Obviously the reason is not in the media player but in the carrier (YOUR mobile operator) settings and protocol. I solved it by using browser with my carrier's settings, NOT the default browser! To explain: this is the same, but MODIFIED BROWSER, it has specific settings, gateways, all those numbers and stuff I don't have a clue how to set up... This browser connects to MOODIO differently (don't ask me how!)
So, it appeared when I registered my Blackberry 8310 with BIS (Blackberry Internet Service), my carrier (operator) sent me those settings "over the air" - OTA.
You could try:
1. Just use your carrier's browser from Home Screen (not everyone has this option I realised...), it is the icon: world globe, yellow dart arround and one peace of paper with tiny letters sticked on the globe (like "post it"). When I highlite it, my carrier's internet service name appears (in my case, PLANET). The other, "default" icon just says Browser.
2. Register to your network AGAIN: Home Screen/Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table/-press menu key-BB key- and click REGISTER NOW. Later you will receive SMS: Your handheld has been succesfuly registered bla bla bla.
3. Change your default browser: Home Screen/Options/Advanced Options/Browser/Default browser configuration: choose -if you can choose between "Internet Browser" and "your carrier's browser"- your carrier's name or it's Internet service name
4. Request SERVICE BOOK entries: Home Screen/E-mail Settings/Service Books - ask to receive them again (actualy this is for e-mail but it solved connection problems for my other applications so...)
5. Try 1.000.000 things over the forums: toggle full screen on/off, do the battery pull (turn BB off, REMOVE battery, put it back...), enable/disable all the Options in browser or media player:Support JavaScript, Support embedded media, Style sheets, Emulation mode and many many other; actually, I am clicking on all these settings now and MOODIO doesn't stop. Before: I used default browser and clicking all those settings didn't help a bit, it was dead silent.
If this doesn't help, try cooking it with bat's wings and witches fingernails (it won't fix it but you'll feel better!)
