Android phone thinks it's a video?
Hi I just recently signed up for moodio and my thinks the audio stream is a video. This means I can't do anything else with my phone while listening to the radio station. Real drag IMHO. Anyway to fix this?

I see the same behavior on a Motorola Droid with Android 2.0.1.
Same problem here, Droid 2.01
Tried using another AAC player, (AOR Player) If it worked reliably I could be able to multi-task while using moodio, but the default video player is the only player on my droid which seems to work with moodio reliably.
I'll keep looking for a better AAC player. Wish I could use DroidLive, because it works flawlessly with other streams.
I can't get the Motorola Droid to player the stations. When I click the .asx link it downloads into my download folder and when I try to play I get the message "Sorry, this video cannot be played". I am able to hear the station on my PC
I am having this problem also... I use the Motorola Milestone and am wondering if there is any new development... is there a way I can listen and multitask at the same time? or is there a Moodio App developed so that we can do that???
Please make proper support for Android. My Motorola Milestone plays it only as video.
Is there a way to get around the problem? Is there a setting for the video player so that we can multitask (eg. browse on the internet or start an app or game) while the video is still playing (live audio still streaming continuously)??? Any feedback will be much appreciated... thx!
As above
I can't get my droid to play the stations. it tries to load as a video and then says it can't load it.
If you look at my droid thread, you'll see how to do it.
How about a link or an address. how the hell are we supposed to find "your droid tread'?????????????

And please do not react so impatiently with a fellow user who is just trying to help you to use a free service.
I see the developers were gracious enough to provide a search function.
thanks siber. apparently milestone canada is different problem. i have droid, will start new thread.
on your phone, a stream works by browsing only to m.moodio.fm, not www.moodio.fm. as far as i can tell, works on all browsers except opera mini 4.
THANKYOU! Using "m.moodia.fm" fixed all issues with my Motorola Droid.
I wonder why there hasn't been a push to get an app or something to make this work the way it should. I got away from my Blackberry a long time ago and this is the only thing that I'm missing. Please someone develop an app for this.
firmware 2.0.1
used m.moodio.fm
Still thinks it's a video.
Any further suggestions?
You need to use the dolphin HD web browser and in the settings under agent, set it to iPhone. You also need to use a different player cherry player and aonline player don't work anymore. I found that xiialive lite works great. Been streaming and text messaging at the same time Love It!! Hope this helps.
OK I have tried everything in this thread to try to make my motorola extreme to work and nothing works. i downloaded the xiialive lite and it seems to connect then it stays at buffering forever. ANy ideas how to get this thing to work?

When I first got my new Droid X (Verizon) I could play my YourMuze stations, but they did think they were video so I could not close the screen, but it was at least working. I have been hoping that when Froyo came out the new media player might work better, but I have not gotten Froyo yet, and all of a sudden this week my stations won't play, but they all still play on my PC just fine. They try to load (still thinking they are video), but never finish loading. Since the last post here was a while ago and no one mentioned the Droid X or Froyo, I thought I would freshen this thread and see if anyone knows anything new. If Froyo is going ot fix it, I will probably get that in another week or two (maybe?), so I would be happy to just wait, but my son just got Froyo on his HTC Droid Extreme and the media player doesn't seem to be updated. Is there a better media player on the marketplace? Or do we have to go outside the marketplace to find an app? or What is the recomended solution these days?
Thanks all!
Okay I tried the older recommendation here, using Dolphin HD, setting the agent to iPhone (and what is that all about?), and installed XiiaLive. Now when I load m.YourMuze.FM it comes up in a Dolphin window, and after setting the agent to iPhone the XiiaLive player came up instead of the default thing thinking it is trying to load video. But still, the thing says "buffering" endlessly. I am really beginning to think there is a problem at the m.YourMuze.fm site??? Still works fine on the PC. But now I cannot get any play on my Droid X.
Frustrated.
How about a simple Droid app??? Someone??? Please???
Hummmm??? I'd pay for it at this point. Tons of Droids out here. I like to tell people its just about like the iPhone4 except we have a cell phone carrier (Verizon, as opposed to that pretender AT&T), and an antenna that works.
Love my Droid X.
Cheers!
I didn't change anything, but now this evening I tried the same setup and YourMuze is working on my Droid X, with Dolphin HD, ZiiaLive (set XiiaLive "agent" setting to "iPhone").
And now I can close the player and do other things. Nice to have multitasking. The XiiaLive player is pretty nicely setup. The Dolphin Browser is okay, but sometimes it chews on a URL awfully long. Nice features, but could stand to be faster. I wonder if it is not using the device resources efficiently. I've got tons of memory and the Droid X has a 1GHz dual core processor. It should be pretty fast.
Anyway, until YourMuze comes up with an Android app, this works okay for now. Still don't know what changed.
