General Support Forum

Submitted by EckiVonDerHalle on 1/30/12 6:53 PM.

hi guys,

listening to (Rock) Radio-MKW ( www.Radio-MKW.de & www.RockRadio-MKW.de ) has worked for nearly one year but is off for one week now.

I'am registered for about 48 weeks.

Station can't be found anymore.

We tried to add straming-URL ( http://streamplus20.leonex.de:25584 )twice but just received the message:

"This is not a valid streaming URL!"

Once again the present URL / Name of our Radio Station: www.RockRadio-MKW.de

Ecki

Thank's for support.

Hmmm. Mplayer is happy to play that stream, so there shouldn't be a problem adding it to YOURMUZE. Maybe it needs a codec that YOURMUZE doesn't have?

I went to the station's site and found it off the air on two out of three occasions today. So perhaps it does not stream 24/7?

Anyway, while it's working I was able to add it to YOURMUZE.

Yes, it was working fine from my local computer too. It's specifically blocking the yourmuze server.

Maybe this touches on something the owner of a different station complained of in this forum a few weeks back. Apparently YOURMUZE isn't just like any other internet listener. The poster complained of excessive "station check hits from Moodio user agent". Is this a complaint about the YOURMUZE server, or about the software your listeners are using? What are these hits, why are they necessary, and why do some stations find it such an impost that they need to ask YOURMUZE to remove them from your listing?

I just had another look at the MKW website. It is 5:45 am German time and the station is off the air. So possibly it does not broadcast 24/7?

It's now 1:30pm in Germany, and I find the station is back on the air. I'm not sure when it returned. The link I added to YOURMUZE has also sprung back to life. http://www.yourmuze.fm/webplayer/?id=67539

So I conclude that there is nothing amiss, apart from the station closing down for for 8 to 10 hours per day. This means its existence on the list here will probably be short-lived.
