Most media players on phones expect to receive some sound within a few seconds after they request an audio stream. Since it takes some time for the Moodio server to connect to the source audio stream, there is a "gap" between the moment the request is done by the phone and the moment the Moodio server is ready to send audio data from the requested radio station to the phone. During these seconds, the server sends the dialing tone that you guys refer to. It's actually this file: http://www.moodio.fm/NorthAmericanRingback.ogg
those are the sounds I get when trying to listen to mms://p.mm.uol.com.br/ampan
do you believe its a problem at the source?
the link works fine on pc...(media player/winamp)

Funny. I get the same thing. Almost like moodio is dialing my phone to connect me to the station. Doesn't bother me, but it IS curious!
I also get a couple of rings when I first request a station. Does anybody know what is going on here?
I was wondering about this also. One time I even got a busy signal. Don't know waht that is all about.

When a source stream URL is unavailable for some reason, the server plays this sound: http://www.moodio.fm/sit_disconnected.mp3
I think the service would be confusing without the pacifier tones.

So if i am reading correctly i will not be charged on my cell phone bill for min. its just time killer nose till the stream can connect.
I think the ring is confusing. Could you guys change it to something like a few beeps or something?
By the way, your service is amazing. I will recommend Moodio to everyone I know!
The ring tone is just a sound file that plays whilst your stream is loading.
