Error Playing

I currently have the BlackBerry 8100 running 4.5.0.52 on the T-Mobile network. I have added a few stations on my computer, successfully logged on to m.moodio.fm on my phone and click on them and then proceed to click on "Start download".  This then opens up Media Player and it appears to be doing something, but a few seconds later the following message pops up: "An error occured attempting to play media". Any suggestions?

I've been using moodio ok for the past 3 days. Just today I get the message "The media being played is of an unsupported format. I'm using the Blackberry 8130 on Verizon.
Thanks, Jeff

I recently set up moodio on my sprint curve and was successfully treaming for the past few days as well. Any ideas why the change?

As you probably have seen i have updated the website. I  didn't intend to change anything to the technical/streaming part but i just found out i forgot to change a port number back from a number i used for testing to the original value.
I have now changed it back - does it work again?  You may have to reload the page on your phone, clear the browser and/or player cache, etc.

have a new account. cant get anything to play. it says "an error has occurred attempting to play media"

I am having the same issue as the other Sprint user (the media being played is of an unsupported format).

It now works, awesome! Looking forward to exploring the stations.

Great! How did you solve the problem?

I honestly didn't do anything. It must have been something done on either Moodio's side or on T-Mobile's side. The only advice I could give you is to change the bitrate/channel betwen parametric stereo/stereo/mono and see if that helps.

I have a Sprint Blackberry Curve (8330). Until yesterday, Moodio was working great. But since then, everytime I try to connect to a station I get the message "The media being played is of an unsupported format". I have tried changing the bit rate settings and have cleared my cache as well, but no luck.

Any thoughts?

I'm using a Blackberry 8800 on the T-Mobile network and made my first account just moments ago. I was excited to try the service out but it isn't working on my phone, getting this error:

"Unsupported Media Type:
application/sdp"

This happens no matter what I do, be it changing the stream url to different formats (tested and working urls) or switching from mono/stereo/parametric. Also refreshed the page in my phone's browser to see if it would breathe life but no luck. I'd really REALLY like to see how this works as I'm sure I could bring a lot of users to the site.

Thanks in advance!

I get this error message after choosing one of my stations on m.moodio.fm
I have a blackberry 8130, telus mobility carrier, v 4.3.0.65.
Thanks.

I have a blackberry curve on the sprint network. I was able to use Moodio just fine until yesterday as well. Has anyone else had their problem resolved within the past few days?

I have had exactly the same thing - it was working fine until a couple of days ago, now I get the message "An error has occurred attempting to play media" when I try and open one of the stations. I have tried changing the encoding rate and clearing the browser cache, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I am using a BlackBerry Bold with 4.6 firmware.

Was working great last week on BB Curve. For past 5 or 6 days, I haven't been able to connect to any stations.

OS = 4.3

UPDATE:

I went to Youtube and played a video. Clicked on the BB key, and "unchecked" the "full screen" option. All is right with the world now. Thanks to the OP for this suggestion. It worked!

Paul.

I just tried my stations using my BlackBerry Bold and the streaming is working without any problems! I haven't made any changes on my device, so I presume that some changes have been made at the server end.

did you do anything else other than the full screen thing? I have an 8830 with OS v 4.2.2.123, have changed the full screen setting but am still getting the same unsupported format message. Do I need to restart my BB? Could it be the OS version?

Help!

I get a ringing tone like I am making a call and then a busy signal. I tried a couple of stations out to see if it would work and they did. then I loaded up my stations list and none of them work when they did a few minutes ago. my phone also shut itself down and I had to do a battery pull to get it to come back on. why did it work one minute then NOT the next? oh, well, it would have been nice to have it work

edit: BlackBerry Curve 8330, OS 4.5.0.77 thanks

Thanks for the YouTube tip! This worked perfectly and all of my stations are working. I can again go to sleep to the soothing sounds of Subsonic Disney Background music.

You da MAN! I went to YouTube and unchecked the "full screen". THANKS!
