More information about the stations

At least the country of a station should be included in a mandatory field when adding a station. Right now it's pretty hard to find stations from specific country... although I'm suspecting that there just aren't so many from mine yet (Finland =) I'll do my best to populate the database with some...

These might be nice:

Country (I'm living abroad, and feeling a bit homesick currently),
Commercials or not
Quality (this could be determined automatically I guess)
Possibly info about uptime (if the station is not 24/7) and an indicator of current status/last seen (this would also help detecting dead stations).

Hopefully this will be added, and the community grows so we will get more stations!

I would especially like to see a rating system for the stations. It could be a "Star" system that those who have the station added to their profile could vote with. That way when others who are registered surf to the Genre they can see which the top stations are.

I know it wouldn't be perfect, but that way it would help the users get a better feel for new Genres if they branch out to try new stations.

Also, I would like to see the Name of the station, and the Genre of the station appear in my list on the PC and on my Mobile Browser so I don't have to spend as much time finding which of my stations are playing the type of music that I want to listen too.

But honestly... fantastic service ladies and gentlemen! Keep up the great work!

I agree that additional station information should be available, and I also think that the person who added a station should be able to edit that entry at a later date. I notice some stations are listed multiple times, probably using slightly different feed URLs. If it was required that a new station entry include the stations HOMEPAGE then there might be fewer duplicates. I wondered whether I should add my local station, until I discovered that <em><strong>it is already listed 4 times!</strong></em> This is unnecessary duplication, and wasteful of resources. Someone listed it by its number, someone else by its call sign. 2GB 873
