need help to find Northern Beaches streaming url

General Support Forum

Submitted by Shep on 11/16/11 2:46 AM.

I'm having no luck with finding the streaming URL for a local community station. Here's their home page: http://www.rnb.org.au/

I'd appreciate help with this. My usual techniques for ferreting out the URL have let me down with this one.

Celebrations were premature, kevingdkp. :(

There is something weird going on. While I can do other things on the PC while listening to any other YOURMUZE station, when listening to Northern Beaches Radio via YOURMUZE I am forced into hands-off listening. If I do anything with the mouse or keyboard the player goes silent and signals Congestion. (I have it purposely set to a 25kbs feed so it should be able to trickle feed and not be impacted by other operations.)

NBR's demand for exclusive use of the PC also applies to YOURMUZE's 64kbs feed, this one: http://www.yourmuze.fm/webplayer/?id=77998 and if I so much as highlight something in the editor using the mouse Mplayer goes silent and spends a few seconds buffering. It I keep using the PC, then Mplayer repeatedly plays for a bit, then buffers, then plays, etc.

This doesn't happen with any other station. Any idea what is going on?

It's hardly a player issue, because I use the Helix player for the 25kbs feed and Mplayer for the 64kbs feed. It's difficult to see it as a YOURMUZE issue because the problem arises with no other station, and it couldn't be the station's server since it is remote from this local buffering.

How did you determine the stream URLs? Maybe there is an alternative I could try?

I used an editor to reveal the content of the livestream.m3u8 file as:

#EXTM3U
#EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:18351
#EXT-X-ALLOW-CACHE:NO
#EXT-X-VERSION:2
#EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:8

How does VLC go with http://www.yourmuze.fm/webplayer/?id=77998 ― are you able to do other things on the computer without VLC constantly being interrupted and buffering?

All fixed I think. ✫✫fingers crossed✫✫ ☺☺

I changed the URL to one that I pieced together from the idea you supplied:
rtmp://67.227.227.83/livepkgr/livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent&adbe-record-mode=record

Works just like any other station now. I hope it stays that way. ☺☺
