Problem with Nokia 5800

I tried Moodio on my Nokia 5800, but all I get is a message from the phone "cannot play the media file". I tried both the Nokia browser and Opera. Can anybody help, please?

:-) Volker

Hey,
I´m sorry, that I have no solution, but I wanted to say, that you are not alone with your problem.
At least me have the same problem mentioned above on my Nokia 5800.
Maybe there will be a fix.

Hello, I have the same problem. Is there something new?

No, nothing new. I just installed the new firmware, hoping this might help. No...

This is what I did on my 5800xm and I can listen to a stream:
Go to Menu -> Applications -> RealPlayer (That's the default. If you changed its location, just go there and open RealPlayer).

(My mobile is not in English language so excuse me if I translate it wrong):

Touch the left softbutton (I think it sais Options). Go to "Settings". Select the streaming choice (the second one).Choose network, and there you will see 4 choices. One about the access point, one about the connection time, and 2 about udp ports.

Select unlimited for connection time, then go to "Lower udp port" and choose "2000". At the "Higher udp port" choose "32000" (you don't have to use these numbers exactly, but the service requires some ports opened).
If your provider requires a proxy server, 99% you won't be able to use moodio.fm.

:-(((, its not work!! schnief....

Hey, Liogr!

You are my hero - it's working! Setting the proxy to "no" was the solution. Thanks a lot!

:-)

I´m Proxysetting is "no" and the lower UDP is 2000, no working. There are no other settings? I have the last Firmware from Nokia, no crack!!!
See your still a Chang?

thx
Tom

Then your mobile provider needs a proxy for connectivity, and proxy server does not allow streaming data... You'll have to check for another provide, or use wifi.

I use wifi, and other programs run without proxie is off?

It works. The Fritz-Box has it blocked. The ports open, ok.

thx 4 your help and a nice day

I am using Moodio on my Nokia 5800 (XpressMusic version) without a problem using the built-in browser. Maybe it is an OS version problem.

Good luck.

When you say your using built in browser what do you mean? I just got to Internet then bookmarks then Moodio it has worked fine until past couple of days where Moodio won't work away from my WiFi at home, it used to but not now very annoying.

As I am typing I am listening to BBC Radio 4 High Quality via http://m.moodio.fm using the phone's supplied browser over my wireless connection at home. Maybe it is a problem with your own internet connection. Try listening to streaming radio directly on your computer, or try the phone over another wireless connection. (The OS on my phone is V31.0.101)

I hope this helps.

I can also listen at home via my WiFi but I'm talking about away from home via my mobile Internet again I tried today with same result "Not able to play media clip" It used to work fine so why isn't it now?
Simon

downloaded opera browser...worked for me (nokia 5800) previously experienced all the problems losted here. Now it works ;)

great !!!!

thank you !!!
