Suddenly cannot access: Blackberry 8130 Verizon

General Support Forum

I have been using Moodio VERY HAPPILY for several weeks, and suddenly the other day it just stopped working at all. I have tried rebooting my phone and everything else I can think of. Could Verizon be blocking the stream? When I go to the "My Stations" page in the Blackberry browser, I click on the station normally, it comes up with the audio applet, and says loading for a moment, but I never hear the phone ringing sound effect, and it never connects, and the back button (next to the trackball) will not exit back to the station list. The audio applet appears to have locked up. I am guessing that maybe Verizon locks it out and the applet can never complete the initial download?

At first I thought maybe the site was having difficulty, but now after several days, always the same result.

Help! I had become very dependent on this since my favorite local talk station went dark. Now it won't work at all.

Thanks!

Blackberry 8310 Curve, v4.5.0.102

My Media Player was not playing any station. NOTHING!
Just opens and sits there waiting for a bus or something...
I tried everything, for one whole week (Browser options, full screen enabling/disabling, firewall setings, applications permissions, battery pull and many other recipes from many many forums...)

Then I tried using my carier's Browser (explanation: if you have two browser icons on your home screen, one is a world globe with yellow dart around it ...the "default"..., the other one is world globe with yellow dart AND WHITE PIECE OF PAPER WITH SOME LINES OF TEXT, bearing the name of your carier/operator or your carier's internet service - that is THE ONE).

It started playing instantly, with 56kbps stereo over EDGE network,

I hope this will help!!!
If you need more explanation, cry out loud.
Oliver

I've only got the one browser on my Verizon 8130 as far as I know. The Icon is just a globe. I'm still using the default setup icons and apps.

Found in another thread, found the problem. From what I read, you cannot do this while in Moodio. I shot a short video, played it, while playing selected the menu button, and unchecked "Full Screen" (and maybe "Repeat" if that is selected?). Exit the video applet. restart the browser, goto "My Stations", select a favorite station, and now it works again! YES!

I love this application! I just have to keep my phone plugged in everywhere I can (car, desk, etc.) because it runs the battery down pretty fast to be streaming media all the time. Helps to use ear buds instead of my Bluetooth earpiece as continuous Bluetooth runs it down fast too. But sometimes the Bluetooth earpiece is real convenient for short periods; like sitting in a boring meeting with talk radio in my ear <grin>.

I especially like that I can select a low data rate mono for talk radio.

Cheers!
