WBAI has got to be one of the most interesting and useful grassroots Pacifica station with alternative (read "real") news and music. based in New York, it has been the progenitor of excellent shows like Democracy Now! with host Amy Goodman. Her show is aired every weekday morning at 9am Eastern Standard Time. Another excellent host is Dr. Majid Ali at noon on Mon. and Tue., and Hugh Hamilton rocks! Law and Disorder 10am Mon. is the best of its kind also.

Plus, the music shows are generally very good also.
